Our Services

What does a financial planner do?

The role of a financial planner is more than simply investing your money on your behalf!

Appropriate, tailored financial advice can add far greater value to your financial position than investment performance alone.

A good financial adviser will help you:

  • Gain financial peace of mind.

  • Understand financial strategies, and explain the jargon to you in simple terms.

  • Set and achieve your financial goals

  • Ensure your personal financial situation is in order before recommending any strategy

  • Review any government assistance that you are (or may be) entitled to

  • Attain the advice and guidance to help make the β€œbig” decisions.

  • Protect your assets for you and your family.

In simple terms, working with a trusted financial adviser is all about β€œknowing rather than hoping”.

The single biggest reason why KmacD Financial is a good financial planner is: We want you to feel in control of your finances.

How we work with you:

Our meetings are always face to face – either in person at our Aspley office, or via Zoom/Teams video call.

While we may have email communication between meetings, it’s especially important to have face-to-face communication when it comes to understanding your situation and in explaining our recommendations to you.

The ability to ask questions, gain answers and clarify information in real time ensures you understand exactly what we are advising, and why.

It also begins to create what we hope will become a long term relationship with you.

  • Our first meeting is an opportunity to gather information, discuss your goals and objectives, discuss strategies and ask questions.

Most initial meetings are one to two hours.

For this appointment I charge a fee of $330 including GST.
This is a no obligation appointment.

I will ask you to bring (or send in advance) details of your current assets, liabilities, income and expenses. We may also talk about your level of comfort with financial risk so we can get to work on the best strategy for you.

I am very happy to conduct our meetings in person or via Zoom/Teams.

  • If you confirm that you wish to proceed with a written recommendation, we then gather further detailed information and develop a bespoke strategy to match your goals and objectives.

  • We then meet again to discuss the recommendation we have made, and the steps required to achieve your goals and objectives.

We will explain everything in detail so you feel confident about setting your plan in motion.

  • With your approval, we fully implement the recommendations and strategy that we have developed for you.

We keep you informed through each stage of the process.

  • Ongoing monitoring of your financial situation is not always necessary - however it is always necessary to review.

We offer an annual review option or you are welcome to instigate a review when you decide it is necessary.

We will provide additional information regarding reviews during our initial meeting, depending on the level of ongoing service and financial monitoring you require.

WHAT DOES OUR FINANCIAL PLANNING COST?

The initial meeting fee (approx 2 hours) is $330. There is no obligation to engage our ongoing services in order to have this meeting.

Following the initial meeting, if you wish to proceed with a written recommendation, the cost for implementing your strategy will be outlined in a quote provided to you.

Our fee is calculated based on the complexity of the strategy and recommendation.

For superannuation and investment it will be Fee based.  If your recommendation includes insurance products this may be fee based or a commission, but this will be discussed with your before we proceed with your recommendation.
